It seem like every gadget you buy these days has some kind of Internet streaming capability.  Even in norfolk where a large proportion of of the community are retired, people are joining the internet tv revolution. Broadband speeds are improving and its not just the lucky ones in Norwich. Internet speeds in rural areas have become capable of internet streaming. Televisions now come with iptv as standard, and although the content is limited it is growing steadily. One of the main problems with streaming around the home is wireless systems cannot cope with the amount of data, and wireless has a limited range.  We are now installing ip capability to homes for xbox 360, playstation, internet ready tv’s, bt vision and set-top boxes. some of the on demand content for east anglia is. bbc iplayer, itv catch up, 4 on demand or 4od as it called, channel five and you tube,  Its also possible to catch up with your friends on your TV, with the likes of facebook, twitter and many other social media sources.
