Most tv’s now come Internet ready as a standard feature. but only a small proportion are connected to the Internet. Catch up tv has become popular on devices like ipads, xbox360 and PlayStation. With ip content provided by the likes of bbc iplayer, itv catchup, 4 on demand, YouTube, love film and net-flicks its not surprising that its becoming more main stream. you will need a decent broadband connection and we recommend connection using ethernet cables.  we can install ethernet networks along side tradition coaxial systems here.

Some of the ways to improve your broadband speed are to have your router connected directly to the incoming master socket and a direct connection between router and TV using an Ethernet cable. We can install cat cabling to tv points. You can also try fitting an iplate or accelerator as they are sometimes called. This device filters the bell tone ringer, a plug in type filter only filters out the dial tone. We can supply and fit this for you and if needed, relocate your master socket. Then test your broadband speed again.

There are lots of ways to catch up on your favourite TV programs or tubes. You no longer have to get out your laptop or sit at your desktop. There is now a range of flat screen TVS that allow you to steam YouTube, BBC iplayer, ITV Catch Up, 4 On Demand, Sky Player and lots more and the best of it is, all you need to do is pick up your remote control. You will also have built in Freeview, so you will not miss any of your favorite digital channels. Freesat is another great way to experience online streaming. with this service you also get ITV catch up and BBC HD services. Another way is BT Vision, we can check your digital aerial which is used for the Freeview viewing and check your broadband speed which is used for uploading movies and content, so you will get the very best from your BT Vision box.

A very exciting upcoming product which we must talk about is Google TV. Forget TV channels, just type in what you want to watch and Google TV will find it for you, so you watch what you want, when you want. I think this will change the way we view TV as we know it today.
