LCD & Plasma Flat Screen TV Installation
We can advise you on the type of TV which would best suit your room. The TV you pick must meet all your requirements. You may be limited by the area you live in as Freeview may not be available, or you may want HD Freesat built in. We can test your TV signal and advise you if it needs upgrading. the position of your TV is important as it will be fixed… You may be limited to the places where you can mount your TV by your seating layout.
Firstly we must check the construction of the wall, (i.e. is it stud or brick etc), to determine whether the wall has sufficient strength to support the weight of the TV. It is important that we use the correct type of bracket for the wall fixing. The bracket must be appropriate to the size of the TV with the correct swivel arm or tilt if required.
Decide on the height of your bracket, but before drilling into the wall, ensure there are no existing cables or pipes. For larger TVs we always have a minimum of two people to lift the TV onto the bracket.
Hidden cabling involves chopping a channel of plaster out from behind the TV to the place where your equipment, (Sky, DVD, Blue Ray, Playstation etc), will sit. The cables are then plastered into the wall or we can build a partition to conceal all cabling and viewing equipment
We then connect the TV to your audio and video sources. Ensure that the cables are long enough and that everything is working, before plastering the cables into the wall. After installation, calibrate the picture on your plasma TV. Adjusting the brightness and contrast settings can help you to preserve the longevity of your plasma TV. Many plasma TV’s have preset options from which you can choose based on the lighting conditions and video source that you watch.
We also supply a range of wall brackets, cables and accessories to compliment your home entertainment installation. All our installation services come with a twelve month warranty as standard.
